Miriam’s connection to tasseography began in her youth in the historic neighborhoods of Istanbul. Sitting at the table of her grandmother, she learned that the thick dark sediment left in a Turkish coffee cup was not a random splatter, but a canvas reflecting a client's energetic path.
Now operating from a quiet, dedicated studio in Toronto, Miriam has spent over fifteen years translating cup grounds for clients worldwide. Her approach is grounded and comforting—refusing shallow fortune-telling in favor of clairsentient synthesis. She listens, feels, and scribes each report by hand, honoring the individual energetic signature of every seeker.

Turkish Coffee Tasseography (Kahve Falı)
Kahve Falı dates back to the 16th-century Ottoman Empire, where it flourished in coffeehouses and royal courts alike. Unlike other forms of divination, coffee reading is highly sensory and physical. The coffee must be ground fine, brewed slowly in a traditional copper *cezve*, and sipped with intent.
As the cup is inverted and cools, the thick grounds slide down the porcelain, leaving trails, bridges, figures, and rings. The reader translates these formations using three temporal levels:
